Road trips are about the in between spaces. The unexpected twists and turns of the road, the places you find yourself in and the people you meet.
After an unsuccessful (due to a lack of pickles) market stop just across the border into Poland. We ended our long day of driving at a cozy campsite between Jamno Lake and the Baltic Sea.

Adventuring down a brick paved road in anticipation of a rest stop near a lake landed us in a farmer’s field edged with colourful and varied wildflowers.

Last night we alit gracefully next to a pond almost in the shadow of the largest castle in the world (by land area) built by the Teutonic Order in the 13th century. I watched the moonrise over it’s turrets last night and then, between rain showers, ran around it this morning.

Tonight we rest next to beautiful lake Sniardy, where we pushed Jasper’s bedtime so that we could all enjoy the sunset together!
Finally, because I know that you are all really worried about our happiness….
